I didn’t know
the pain I had
until I talked to a friend
And talking became screaming.
Screaming.
Screaming because
I needed to scream.
At home, silence
Heavy with unfinished screams.
“Cheer up,”
was his request.
So I took medicine.
Half the bottle.
Then they said, “You need help.”
