I held my breath
As I went up to the office,
Dizzy, reeling, dazed.
Was it lack of oxygen or fear?
Head floating, heart racing,
Sounds coming from a world light years away,
I hardly heard him.
Trying to answer, I thought,
He must believe I am normal.
I coached myself,
I am in control.
I breathed,
I am normal.
Fear.
